Romania’s National Day in Melbourne – Community, Tradition and Joy
This year, Romania’s National Day was celebrated in Melbourne through a warm and vibrant community gathering organised by EuRaw at Jells Park. Around 100 Romanians, families with children, young people, elders and friends of the community, came together to mark December 1st in a simple yet deeply meaningful way. Celebrating Ziua Iei 2025 – A Heartfelt Gathering in Melbourne
On Sunday, June 23rd 2025, over 80 members of the Romanian-Australian community gathered at the Romanian Orthodox Church of Saints Peter and Paul to celebrate Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse. The turnout was nothing short of amazing, especially considering the event came together on such short notice. The parish is located near the Melbourne Museum and Lygon Street, in the inner-city suburb of Carlton.
